Can someone please be kind enough to explain in laymans terms what facebook seem to have done by setting up a new email address for me, without my agreement and which I can't delete? :mad:

FB have now given me an FB email account, whether or not I use it is up to me. They can send whatever rubbish they want to it. I doubt I'll ever log into it.
As is it my FB settings were such that my common account did not receive FB updates.I'm not that way reclined

Facebook Messages was apparently introduced at the end of 2010. Making it the default simply reminded people that it existed, albeit in a rather obnoxious fashion.0 -
