PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. in reply to dvardysshadow.I was only trying to get some advice from a land registry rep.I did think that this is what these forums were for.The question I asked is not totally irrelevant as it is linked to land registry titles. So much for the newbie alert!0

Your problem is only superficially similar to the one under discussion here - and the significant issue - that you want to take out a secured loan on a property under probate is totally irrelevant to the current discussion.
Is there any need for such a high handed attitude with a new poster?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
The Land registry rep will be as likely to pick up your problem if you include 'land registry' in your thread title as they will be to pick up from this thread. More likely even.in reply to dvardysshadow.I was only trying to get some advice from a land registry rep.I did think that this is what these forums were for.The question I asked is not totally irrelevant as it is linked to land registry titles.
So why not just start a new thread?
If you don't tell them, they never know. I don't think you have any grounds to complain. Note, I am being high handed with you.Is there any need for such a high handed attitude with a new poster?
So, you go around hijacking threads for 20 posts and then someone tells you not to because your newbie alert has gone. And you feel even more embarrassed. So much for the newbie alert!
Please don't hijack threads. It messes up the conversation for the original Poster. And often people will just read the opening few posts and post their thoughts on the first problem, not yours. When newbies do a thread hijack, often they will be ignored rather than exacerbate the problem. So nobody really gains from a thread hijack.
Or if someone suggests starting a new thread, the newbie will come back and say they didn't know how to. This is not about being nasty to a newbie. It is about helping you to put up your problem in a way which gets it the attention it deserves. BobQ is not really helping you.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I dont feel embarrassed at all. Some of us don't go around thinking we know it all and then try to belittle those who are just starting something new.Obviously you fall into the category of know it all , you werent trying to help you were being obnoxious0

Nobody is belittling you. Why have a go at me? Being a newbie does not give you a licence to insult people.I dont feel embarrassed at all. Some of us don't go around thinking we know it all and then try to belittle those are just starting something new.Obviously you fall into the category of know it all.
I imagine that no one is answering your query because you are steadfastly refusing to start a new thread. If I had wanted to belittle you, I would have posted something like "Ignore this newbie because he is so wet behind the ears that he does not know how to start a thread :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:".
Just use a tabbed browser, one tab on this thread and use another tab to go to the forum page http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...splay.php?f=16 and use the 'new thread' button to start a new topic. Then use copy and paste to transfer your text into your opening post and you are sorted.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The reason I have not started a new thread is that I have had a message giving me the answer to the question I put on last night. So much for your theory. As for insulting you ,sorry but you are just insulting yourself with your petty ridiculous attitude. As for assuming I am a "he" shows you for what you are. I tried to send you a message but your inbox gives a message that it is full,I have no doubt why .Now just go away.0
