What is going on with Ebay and "adult material"!!!

I have 2 accounts on Ebay - one I use for selling various stuff I am clearing out, and one I opened and thought I'd use for selling some very nice boots.
They are second hand but hardly worn and there are LOADS of other boots exactly the same on there or very similar - and today - the day the listing is due to end - they pulled it! Adult material...
I tell you I really do wonder what Ebay is coming to! I can guarantee you that it was not adult material (They were boots for goodness sake!!!!)
So I've now written to Ebay complaining but no doubt it will come to nothing.
Does anyone have a phone number to Ebay? I feel like having a good shout at them right now! They were bid up to over £10 when I checked last nite too so I'm really miffed... grrrrrr

lol I wouldn't mind but they weren't "well worn shoes" thread material If they had been I wouldn't have felt so annoyed I think lol!!! Seriously they are thigh high boots yes, but there are LOADS of others exactly the same on Ebay! grrrrr

sometimes they are pulled because legs or feet are shown in the boots?!

ebay are just making up rules for the sake of it these days, apparently a lot of people have had babies reusable cloth nappies listings pulled as well because its classed as used underwear or something,whereas a while ago this was ok.

Well I spoke to live chat support last night and they couldn't see why they were pulled gave me a link to go to and ask (again) so i did - this time specifically asking them to tell me WHAT exact bit breached any Ebay rules -otherwise how can I hope to stay within rules in future if I can't understand what bit was not allowed? - still waiting for an answer

I can only assume that a "rival seller" reported them because they were second hand and thus fetching less than their own goods and undercutting them... well BOOHOO! I'll get these boots sold on Ebay if it's the last thing I do! They aren't in breach of the listing rules and I'm feeling very stubborn about this now lol

(and no the pics that showed the boots weren't "of questionable virtue" material either and one bidder who asked if I would send pictures to show what they looked like with a very short mini skirt got told in no uncertain terms where I thought he ought to go...)

I frequently buy and sell equestrian gear on ebay - yes, whips, crops, lace up boots, hairnets (??), harnesses, leatherwork etc etc

Most of the time without any problem.....

Ok before reading the reply I got from support can I just point out there was NOTHING "sexy" abou thow I listed this item - the exact wording is lost now as they deleted it but take my word for this. So I asked for them to tell me EXACTLY what was not allowed and this is what they said:

In reviewing your listing it is clear that you are marketing your boots
in a sexual manner. eBay does not allow the sale of sexually related
materials. Please do not list this item in a sexual manner.

I have to admit this has caused me a LOT of amusement - ok so they are thigh high boots, but they were listed in a VERY factual manner, they are no sexier than stilletto's if you ask me and I really struggle with working out what the problem with the listing was... I can only assume that Ebay dont actually read the listing but only the note added - gotta love them... *sigh*
Hohum I'll find a way of selling these boots one way or another - be it on Ebay or not
