There appears to be a lot of negativity regarding the Natwest fiasco recently. Is there any posters that can share any good experiences.
Did the bank give you funds without gibble so on and so fourth?
Please do not use this thread to vent I would just like to hear peoples "GOOD EXPERIENCES" please.

lol.
Why?
They completely f***ed up the entire banking system, a system that has been in use without major incident by thousands of banks around the world for decades. It is not a good experience.0 -

I think you will get a better response when the customer gets his/her cheque through the door.0

As you can imagine sometimes what ever you do for a customer in circumstances such as this glitch it will never be good enough.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

My current account is with NatWest and has been for 35+ years.
I always maintain a suitable balance and so I didn't experience any difficulty over the last few days, except for being unable to consult my online banking on two occasions, which was no big deal. It would have been no worse had my internet been down. And if my internet had been down I am certain that my ISP would not be the slightest bit interested in compensating for me any consequential loss.
NatWest have said quite plainly that they will compensate people for any charges or consequential loss and as such I think they have behaved absolutely correctly. I really don't see what people are complaining about.0 -
Pretty much same as retiredinthailand.
Of course, people can't do much/anything about things such as direct debits, standing orders not being paid etc, but there are somethings this really this has highlighted.
It's shown that many are living on the breadline and have no provision to even have food to feed their children for a few days in case of emergencies.
My mother was a disabled, single parent with 2 small children, but she always made sure even if she had to go without, to buy an extra tin of beans, soup, some powered milk, powered egg etc over the months to cover emergencies for when she had no money till the next child allowance came in etc..
Other things highlighted.
People do not have a second bank account, or an emergency use credit card, or family/friends who will assist them for a few days, even with food if not money.
Prehaps if it is true, every cloud has a sliver lining, then the whole situation, might make people think twice about what if it happened again.0 -
I get the feeling this is going to be a really short thread .:whistle:0

Why? Are you a paid shill for Natwest? What "good" can possibly come from this disaster?0 -
