Keep getting Blue Screen

    Is there anything I should tick/agree when it starts?

    Type Y to confirm, press enter, then once it reboots, it will run itself

    its saying access denied not enough privilages im in command prompt

    Click start, all programmes, accessories, right click command prompt, click run as administrator

    Type chkdsk /r then press enter

    Huh? If it's the Blue Screen of Death it could be any one of a million things. The clue in this instance would seem to be the mention of the hard drive...

    Ok think I've gone wrong somewhere:oBefore I did this, think I ran just chdsk, it came up in black box etc.. then did your instructions just now, switched off laptop when it came back on a black screen came up looked like it was starting it, then it just came on as normal.

    If you got the command prompt with run as administrator, then typed chkdsk /r (with the space), then got a box asking you to type Y to confirm, typed Y then pressed enter, it should have run check disc after it was restarted

    Did any of the above happen?

    It's running now, got it going! On son's laptop.
