Unable to get blackberry on internet - Help please

Just purchased a contract for my son with internet allowance. Rang talkmobile to get settings so he can access the internet and they informed me that because he has a blackberry he will need to buy a bbm extra at £5. Im pretty sure theres a way to get the internet without paying for bbm (as he only wants to surf the net) so does anyone know how to go about this please. In easy steps please as Im rubbish at this sort of thing. TIA x

I don't know BB, but I think you'll need to connect it to wifi (or to a PC?) to download the app. Check the manual.0
