No problemo, if you you can call me FBOAD doesn't sound as bad! There was another nice pizza place we went to but can't remember the name for the life of me.

I would have suggested a day trip to Tivoli as well but don't think you'll manage as you're not there for long enough really.
2p off is still 2p off!

    Hi
Piazza Barberini is in the center of Rome, very close to Via Veneto and the main shopping area. There is also a metro station there.
    Enjoy your stay.

Barberini is two stops up on the Red (A) Line - from the Termini Main Station - Metro towards Battistini. Remember that the RED Line finishes at 9.00pm every night to allow work on the new Line C - a bus replacement service covers the route instead. You can see a map of the Metro system here.

The weather last week was really warm 22 - 25c every day, but this week looks a lot cooler at about 12 - 15c. Seems to be mirroring the weather in the UK (London)
  • Just an update to thank everyone who wrote to give tips. We arrived back last night from Rome and everything worked out great. We used lots of your tips, rode the underground successfully, managed not to have our pockets picked, never needed to use the taxis, didn't get run over by any traffic, took the guided tour of the Colleseum (or Flavian Ampitheatre to give it its correct title - see I was listening to the guide!). Packed in the 2 day itinerary recommended by the Rome tourist board. Only paid 1 euro per day on the tube - we took it to the furthest point of the itinerary, and workede our way back to the hotel via all the recommended sites. The gelato was scrumptious, the weather mainly good, the hotel swish, and the people very friendly. I am just about over the sore fees and sensory overload. Top marks! Thanks again.
