Hi, I drove passed the ASDA in Hounslow on a private road managed by the highview company, and I expect a £75 letter soon. As I drove the buslane on that private road are there grounds for me paying this £75. The road is owned by the Bleihnem Centre, not the council or TFL. please advice as I'm getting quite anxious.
If you don't mind me saying so, you sound like a bit of a wimp. Fancy worrying about a speculative invoice that hasn't even arrived yet, and even if it should arrive, can be safely ignored.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

    Do PPCs do toll roads?

I reckon that they ought to send Highview their £75 now rather than later. ;)
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
  • Hi. This last Saturday I visited my local Tesco store at Yate to do the weekly shop. I had my two young grandsons with me and needed to find one of those wider 'family' parking bays in order that I could open the rear doors sufficiently to lift the boys out and to strap them in on our return.
Having driven around the car park twice I could not find a spare bay.

    What to do!

I elected to park in one of two or three vacant parking bays for the disabled. Wrong, I know but I did not think I had much choice.

I now have a parking fine.

Question is: Should I pay up?

The shopping centre management pointed out that policing the 'family' parking bays is very difficult. Obviously policing the use of 'disabled' bays is much easier since cars usually display a sticker.

Views and comments are very much welcomed please.

In short no you don't pay and just ignore them, if you require a more detailed answer please post a new thread below

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Read the rest of this thread - and any of the others on here about private parking companies. And the stickies.
  • I have just come across this thread, which similarly happened to me last September. I got charged £100.00, reduced to £60.00 for parking 45 minutes too long at a retail park/Railway Stn. I ignored it and have had a few other since, including one which now says I have until 23rd Jan to pay or they will recommend the company taking me to Court, or sending a Local Collection Agent round. Am I still doing the right thing in ignoring them?????? £100 for 45 minutes is expensive parking!!!! Thank you

You really need to start your own thread instead of tagging on to this very old one.
