Change to Monarch Flight, now I have to pay £75?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I booked a holiday to Ibiza for me and 2 friends back in March through Travelsoon.com. After battling with extra charges popping up all over the place (and only 6 nights instead of 7) we agreed on a price and booked the holiday.
This morning, 3 days before we go on holiday, I got a call from the travel agent to say that the airline (Monarch Airlines) has rearranged the flight for 2 hours later. This means that our transfers now have to be changed and for that we need to pay £25 EACH.
It also means that we have another less night there!
I can't find anything in the terms and conditions or small print on our travel documents to say that this might happen, and it seems that there would have been absolutely nothing we could have done to avoid spending £150 in total for our transfers! (the original cost + the amendment charge)
Does anyone know if there are any rights that would apply to this or how I might be able to avoid paying this ridiculous £75?
I would be really grateful!

I don't see why you cant just go to the airport at the original time and wait the 2 hours there.0

I think the OP may mean the transfers when they get there, 2 hours later.0

Hi budgetflyer, the flight is 2 hours later than our original one, so when we arrive we would have missed the transfer. Just to clarify, the transfer is from Ibiza airport to our resort on San Antonio Bay.0

Yes, gas4u! Sorry I didn't make that very clear!0

Each airline will have their own definition of what constitutes a 'major change' (which would allow you to cancel for full refund) however 2 hours is not going to fall into this.
Do the transfer people have your flight details...it is not uncommon for flights to be delayed 2 hours so I wonder if they make people pay again in this case.
Monarch have no responsibility for any onwards travel, they just need to get you to Ibiza airport and your contract with them ends there. Have you looked to see if your travel insurance covers anything like this?
I am confused how arriving 2 hours later means that you lose a night of your holiday?0 -
