Thanks!

Why dont you call the hotel you stayed at? You should have gone to a premier inn with there sleep gurentee i got my money back the same morning when i couldnt sleep because of noisey people above me.
  • Not much point calling the hotel, all the staff were more than useless while we were there and wouldnt help us.

If you stayed in the Travelodge opposite the north pier, I can well understand how your stay might have been.

I stayed there and didn't find it too bad, but if you go in season and get a room on the first floor in particular don't expect much sleep.

I stayed at the travel lodge in Edinburgh. It was absolutely horrendous. I got an email asking me to rate their service a couple days later and despite writing a 2 page complaint detailing their lack of customer service, general cleanliness, continual noise and size of room (you had to climb across the bed to get round the room) i never ever heard anything back.

I think Travelodge are one of those companies who really don't need to worry to much about customer service.

People need hotels, people still go ahead and book them even with the numerous complaints about them, Tripadvisor is proof of that.

I believe Travelodge have opened 2 hotels in Blackpool in the past few years, so I guess business is booming.

Yes, as well as the noise it was filthy! And we had to pay £40 for a room to store our cases in!

If they don't respond to me I will take it as high as I can, won't let this lie I can tell you!

That's what i should have done. I sent the complaint then forgot about it. Should have really pursued it further because it was all arranged for my birthday. I haven't stayed in a travel lodge since, premier inn all the way!

Yep I can well imagine, I went off season. I had a room high up, so the noise wasn't bad for me.

What helped was it was £19 and the bathroom in the room was spotless, so even though it was a bit of a dive, for £19 I was happy.

I think the website does mention about being above a nightclub, so you might not get very far with that side of your complaint. But obviously room/hotel hygeine standards should be expected.
  • Yes it does mention the noise fozmcfc but we asked on all occasions(we had 3 rooms in total) to be put in a quiet room and on all occasions was put on the 1st floor :(

Does anyone have an email address for their MD ?

There's more than 1 in Edinburgh. I've stayed at the Waterloo Place one several times and never had a problem. Not been to any of the others tho.
