I would really like to hear from anyone who has tried to get refundes from these companies. Here is a bit of background info.
I have been receiving texts messages from these two companies and was unaware what they were. I thought they were one of those text messages that if you open them they take money from your account so when i saw them on my phone I deleted them scared to open them. Unaware I was being charged £4.50 a time per text message twice a week for the last 8 weeks!!!
I contacted my mobile provider (o2) who were very helpful and gave me contact numbers for these companies. I proceeded to contact them and they said that I filled in my mobile number online and then confirmed with them that it would be OK for them to take £4.50 per text. It is only coming to light now because I have been contract for 8 weeks before that I was payas you go simplicity and only topped up the amounted needed so going contract 8 weeks ago gave them the oppprtunity to charge the money from my account.
Has anyone tried to get their money back?? I spoke to one girl from company and she said I had a good chance of gettin it back but when I spoke to someone else they said no I didnt. So I have an email address to apply in writting to see if they wil give me back my money but the guy said it is a waste of time because apparently I confirmed that they could take this money from my phone. I can't believe companies can do this!!!
