Look for a silver braided tubey thing, normally immediately below the boiler. Turn the valve then close it when the pressure reaches 1 bar.0

Sounds like someone has actually done what you are supposed to do and dis-connect it. 9 times out of 10 they are left connected. Have a look where you can connect it back to on the pipework going into the boiler. Hopefully you are playing with something like this:scheming_gypsy wrote: »found the tube but it was fully turned clockwise, turned it anti clockwise and got wet

Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

just had a look at that site and the dial is fully turned. As it joins what i'm presuming is the water pipe is a black dial, by turning that as well the presure doesn't change.
If i slide the cover up on the boiler there's a window which i'm presuming is to see the burner / pilot light is on, there's nothing in there so the burner definately isn't kicking in even though the boiler makes all the right noises when it should come on.
i'd put a few pics up but i've leant my camera to my mate... the mate who's husband is the heating engineer and i can't get hold of any of them
