You could argue that the address is a ".co.uk" one, which is reserved for UK companies, and so your purchase was from a UK company.

I don't think thats true. I dont believe .co.uk are reserved for UK companies. Anyone can get hold of one.

I work for a UK company that sells abroad and we use those countries URL. Its standard practice.

Yes you could, but it wouldn't get you anywhere.

In fact, if you put www.skullcandy.co.uk in the browser address bar you will find yourself at http://uk.skullcandy.com/

It is still not clear to me where this company is based.
It appears to be shipping from Germany or France, but does your invoice have an address on it, OP?

If it is UK based, then DSRs apply and the info posted by Whitelabel is applicable.

If they are based elsewhere in the EU, then there should be similar regulations in place, and perhaps the UK European Consumer Centre can help you.

If based in the US, then maybe a bit of research with The Better Business Bureau is in order.

Indeed. I own a site that is .co.uk and it is not for a company or related to a company. Purely personal.
The intended restriction of .co.uk to companies is purely nominal; in practice it is open to any and all applicants.

Not for long because you'd be totally wrong. Please do come back and explain why you think you are correct.

It's the ".co" and the ".uk", which at least implies a UK presence.

So, an address something like condescending-gits.co.uk would imply that the condescending gits were located in the UK.

It may well imply the site is based in the UK, but co.uk is not reserved for UK based sites, anyone, anywhere in the world can use it, just the same as anyone anywhere in the world can use .com, .ie, .it, .za etc etc.
