There are genuine emails being sent out. I received one that included my surname and partial postcode. It did not seek any information from me but informed me, amongst other things, that branches would be opening for longer hours.
I got one as well, from Stephen Hester no less, asking very nicely for my account details and PIN. He said he will sort everything out personally for me.
Sent off all my details and he was very grateful, even invited me to the RBS corporate box at Wimbledon (aparently they have a few spare seats available).... which was nice.
Funny thing is that I am now experiencing problems with my account with all my card transactions are being declined for funding.:)0
