I got an email from Natwest this morning apologising for the trouble they have caused and that they are working very hard to solve the issues. I closed my account with them more than 5 years ago so they still have major problems.0

There are phishing emails being sent out by the scammers apologizing for the inconvenience caused and then asking you to enter your security details.I reckon your email was one of those0 -
There are genuine emails being sent out. I received one that included my surname and partial postcode. It did not seek any information from me but informed me, amongst other things, that branches would be opening for longer hours.0

I had the same e-mail and it is genuine. Had my partial postcode and surname on it. There is a fake one going around but I believe that asks you to follow a link which no genuine e-mail would.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -

Not half! That sounds as if they're restoring records from over 5 years ago. Fred didn't shred everything.0 -

There are genuine emails going out from the banks too. Received one from RBS this morning.
It's important to remember genuine bank ones will never ask for personal details. And always type in the address for your online banking, never go via links in emails.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
