isnt this TECHNICALLY nothin interesting and to be viewed as ORANGE AND TMOBILE are offering unlimited data plans under the trading name of VIRGIN MEDIA, beins as its there network or am i missin somethin?

pricing wise it has a point suppose as you can compare tmobile virgin and orange safe in the knowledge ull be getting the same network coverage and speed, use to do that with tesco mobile they obviously use 02, so there was never any point in gettin an 02 contract as you knew ud get the same coverage and speeds via tesco mobile.....CHEAPER

Do Orange offer unlimited data ? I thought the most you could get was about 1GB.

They do now, if you check out the latest iPhone 4S tariffs, the £51 a month tariff does have truly unlimited data.

    You are missing something.
Virgin Mobile is not owned by Everything Everywhere, or Orange, or T-Mobile. They are a totally separate company, who just have an agreement with Everything Everywhere to use their networks.
Same as Tesco Mobile are are not owned by O2, but use O2s network.

YEAH POINT IS YOU GET THE SAME NETWORK COVERAGE ON YOUR DEVICE AND THE SAME DOWNLOAD SPEEDS DUE TO THE 'SAME' NETWORKS BEING USED, what wasnt clear about that??

or do u reckon for example that those with an ORANGE mobile contract are going to get different speeds and signal coverage than those on TMOBILE?

another example just to really CLARIFY this is someone for example is planning on buying mobile broadband from VIRGIN MEDIA, however there also planning on buying one from TMOBILE OR ORANGE and are trying to 'make there mind up' if we remove individual company costing out of the equation and contract lengths and were not really fuked about whos answerin the phone to us WE JUST WANT THE BEST COVERAGE AND SPEED..........which PROVIDER would you reccomend? ASSUMING the same device your after can be found on either website (ie they all sell mobile broadband huwaeie z50's the exact model you were after etc, etc,) me personally id view it as COMPLETELY NON RELEVANT, due to the fact you will be recieving the EXACT SAME NETWORK COVERAGE AND SPEED. what i would do is compare prices for the best deal IE, hang on a minute whats the point in taking out a 300 minute with unlimited text deal for a tenner from 02, when i can get a 500 minute with unlimited text deal for a tenner from TESCO MOBILE, why would i possibly want to go with 02 in that situation? would going with O2 give be a better signal and network coverage? emm NO,

You forget that Virgin has its own APN and thus can have different speeds and profiles than T- Mobile and Orange.

The same applies to other MVNO , so you can have a situation where one has no connection and the other does. As has happened before.
