    Hope you're feeling better soon.

I know with shingles if it joins up round the middle your top half falls off. Same with neck I suppose, your head would fall off. So take care ;).

  • bleeding heck i have chicken pox.... i went to the docs yesterday. not cool. cant work due to being around people. grrr. nipped to the shops on way home and only went in for milk but the reduced shelf was fantastic £45 later i came out.
going to use this unexpected (paid ) time off as a way of getting back up to date. i can do it nice and slowly starting with emptying d/w and taking ebay picks, making a op and paying a nhs fine (oh's ).

then on to tidying my cupboards (again) and then surveys
just need to run hoover around to.

oh's rung saying a friends been on th ephone ( they are doing a house up) asking how we did it.
Friend said that they cant afford ( after guttiong it) to get it back to livable standards.
OH suggested that they may want to :-
stop having takeaways all the time ( we went and ate ready meals - not healthy but cheaper)
stop buying clothes ( yes lula i abstained from clothing for nearly 1 year!)
stop trying to live the highlife ( that we deffo dont)
Get a second job ( we both knucled down knowing it would be worth it).

any suggestions on treatments of these spots - its not to bad on body but my head is scratchy scratcy.
Right best get dressed and then do all these bits!!!

My sincere sympathies - it's truly awful as an adult, not helped by everyone thinking it's funny :(. My doctor stood at the bedroom door and laughed at me :o. I OD'd on anti-histamines :o. Lloyds do one that makes you drowsy taht's good at night time.

Also, I was driven crazy so when anywhere itched I scratched my scalp as I knew you wouldn't see the scars there :rotfl:.

Congrats on the chicken pox (paid time off) !!!!

Calamine lotion - pour it on a sponge and then just run the sponge over all the spots. You'll look ridiculous but it will stop the spots from itching. Don't pick the spots otherwise you end up with scars....

Hope you feel better soon and that you manage to use the time productively!!!
  • I can officially say that i am using my time very productively, i have already done lots including going through all my wardrobes and bagged up for a needy local family.
I feel so much better just doing this.
wrapped all bday presents in the near future.
    just left to do:-
    op of mortage
    pay credit card
    hoover all way through
try a dress on that i mite wear for a wedding in may ( if not its my target to get in or it goes on ebay)
would try the gym but dont think thats very wise.

loving being at home, nice change
got lamb cutlets and roast veg for tea yummy.

    off for a good scratch!
