They've started to infiltrate our UK market now especially in higher end bakeries but Waitrose sell them too and even Morrisons had Easter chick cake pops which were DELISH! :T They sell the sticks in Asda :T

Cakeballs are exactly the same just without sticks

cornishlady cake balls are very easy to make. If you check out the site above, you'll soon get the idea. Basically you bake a sponge, smash it to smitherines, mix it to a dough like consistency with frosting/buttercream icing of your choice, roll into balls, freeze for 15 mins so they're firm then dunk em in choccie and decorate
