I had the loo roll the other day to bump my shop up to £30 and was quite pleased to see that it compared

However I was not so pleased to see they they compared some whoopsied veg at the cheaper price

I bought a cucumber it was 80p or 2 for £1, I only got 1 as I usually get my fruit/veg from the Asian market and get 3 cues for £1, but needed a cue so grabbed 1, on the price checker it compares the cue at 51p!!! I paid 80p lol

Kymie, is it the Academy your organising the fayre for?
Do Ricara still do the school uniforms, if so it would def be worth asking them to donate.
They used to do car boots at that school a few years ago, before it became an Academy, so it's always possible you could advertise a car boot for the same day, prob need to meet some regulations though i'm not sure.
Have you advertised in the local paper and the little magazine they give away in sainsbobs.
Prob also worth asking at Sainsbobs and possibly David O' jones as they are normally really good at promoting local stuff and perhaps Smarts.

I could probably find a few bits for a raffle , if that's any good to you, nothing exciting, but as they say every little helps :D

Also perhaps a Karaoke machine, the older kids might go for that. Or could you possibly persuade a driving instructer to come to the school and give brief lessons, drives in his car, I know they did this for a school fayre some years ago and used the playground on the elm grove side. This might interest the older kids as they will be starting to drive soon.

Some great ideas thank you Fudge! No its for Philip Howard in Barnham. I dont have any kids there anymore, eldest finished 2 years ago, but as there was no one else to carry it on I stayed. Its looking good now we have new members though! I have my donation request letters all printed so will get them out. Its a last ditched attempt really to get some prizes as really this should have been done weeks ago, but its only been the last two weeks we decided to go full steam ahead with a fete instead of just a tea party lol!

The Sharwood Dinner Kits are half price at T from tomorrow - £1.64. 50p moc on the printables thread :)

Or buy from A and use the 50p moc and also the £1 moc in their mag and they will work out free after APG.

Afternoon everyone. Back from collecting my parents from the airport and then sitting through their slide show of pics. :)

Whilst they were away they had a parcel delivered. It turned out to be a bottle of single malt whisky I had won. I presumed at the time it was one of the samples they were giving away but it's a full bottle. :j So thank you very much to the op that posted about it. I can't remember who it was.

Anyway, I'm off now to try and catch up, if I can keep my eyes open. :)

When are you actually holding it ?, Barnham that's a bit of a tough one with it being such a small town, but perhaps sending your donation letters Chichester way will help with the donations, they are after all more affluent in that direction, lol. You could try the new John Lewis at home store in chi too.

Do you have access to a room with a tv and a playstation or x-box, you could always organise a tournament with one of the latest driving or sports games and charge to enter the tournament, that might encourage the older kids to join in.

If you want any bits for a raffle or similar, let me know and i'll see what I can rustle up. I'm sure there's some chocs round here somewhere, lol
