Hi everyone,
Went to Tescos but couldn't find anything that has been mentioned. But I saw something that was reduced before and said the reduced price but went to scan it and it was another half price but still thought it was something we wouldn't spend that much money on. Will it eventually go down to 1p if no one buys it? If so I'll make sure to post here if it scans at that price ever. It's not food related.
I recall people posting about where to get small toiletries. I want to get a whole load for a party and don't mind paying e.g. like the benefit samples in the mag which only cost £2 but it was worth it. I also don't mind creams like nivea, but if anyone has any ideas of where I could win them or purchase brands like benefit for a small price please let me know.Pink is so not my colour :undecided0 -

I can feel an email to robinsons coming on...
This is why they've been recalled...:cool:Ring CS. I'd ring Trading Standards if I knew a number for them. What they're doing is beyond immoral!
They probably would be perfectly fine to eat and I would have taken them off their hands..I bought whoopsies to be "used by" today's date and eat them after 2 or 3 days in the fridge, no bother!:D
Although T'S probably shouldn't be selling them, I see it a as waste of good food!:)"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

The things that "often/usually" got down to 1p are "seasonal" things like easter/xmas/mothers day items there is no way of telling what will or won't go down to 1p its a case of scan scan scan0 -

I agree Locarr it's probably a waste of food, but you need to make the choice yourself. Some people just dont pay much attention to the dates.
When I have 'missed' a date on something in my fridge, I usually have a sniff, look at the colour, and if it is cooked, taste a little. But that it my choice.
What Tesco are doing is not on - by law if they are edible the dates have to be clearly displayed.0 -

I'm hoping it's paying off for me :T:T0 -

I understand that, locarr. I've bought food at its sell-by date, and eaten it beyond the best before date. But those things should be clearly marked in the packaging to enable to clients to make an informed decision. Supermarkets can even sell items past their best before date without problems, I think! However they should be on the packet, not crossed out like that store was doing.GC September 2012 - £49.04/£80 |GC October 2012 - £50.28/£80 |GC November £63.59/£60 (one adult only)0 -
Can anyone remember that scrumptious looking cake with the cream/Baileys icing dripping off it that Jumblejack posted a few months ago...? If so, what was it called?
I've discovered a bottle of hazelnut Baileys hidden at the back of a cupboard (meant as Xmas pressie) and happen to have some cream in the fridge, so lusting after that cake now...

Thats what our 'Market Area' was aiming for, parents and businesses to rent a table, but no parents took up the offer as of yet (First advertised it over a month ago)
Yes please!!
This is a secondary school. (I too am involved in a primary school PTA but really notice the difference in having a church aided secondary school with such a wide catchment area to cover. We have a PTA of 4 members at the moment, which is double what it was for the last 3 years lol!!) I have to admit I havent stock bought any bargains for the fair as there arent many in my area, and I have 6 kids so anything I do get tends to go to my family and disappears fast as Im not as brave as most of the Elite so only buy a little lol!
Thank you all for your ideas! Im frantically writing everything down lol! xx
Give each class a theme, so one gets gardens, one homeware, one music etc. Then each class is responsible for a stall related to that theme. So they could be selling stuff related to the theme or some sort of prize game. Then you win two-fold. First they sort out a stall for you and secondly they turn up to support their stall and hopefully spend on another stall.
If you know someone who is a costco member, they have a multipack offer on fizzy drinks. 30 cans of Dr pepper/ tango/ 7up that work out about 22p a can. You can easily sell them on for 50p a can or more.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
