AQUA c/c question

Options
Just applied for Aqua credit card and wanted to ask any existing account holders a question. As far as I understand there is no foreign exchange fee on this cards what is however unclear to me if there are any other fees for paying with this card abroad at all? Such as for example on the payments made abroad they would still charge the interest even if the balance was repaid in full for example or is just completely free?

Many thanks

I see it that if you make a purchase abroad, in that country's currency, then there are NO fees and no interest to pay as long as you pay off your statement in full every month.

This is talking about purchases and payments.
There are NO interest free days for cash, so you start paying interest on cash straightaway although there is nothing to stop you making a BACS payment on line if you have access to a secure computer (this is generally not recommended from a shared computer e.g. internet cafe).
You still might have to pay interest for a few days but it would be pretty small.
Halifax Clarity is best for this as the interest rate is 12.9 rather than 34.9, but if it's for a few days only then it will be tiny.

Usually there are NO interest free days for cash.

I read it as a question about making purchases, I don't see any mention of cash withdrawals.
  • Hi folks,

We've just updated the Cheap Travel Money guide to include this card if you want to take a look: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money

(please excuse the slight technical glitch within the Aqua box, trying to get it fixed now!)

Thanks, we saw that and have added it to the tool. But at the moment the 3% cashback on the Reward card makes it pretty unbeatable for spending abroad.

They don't want people making too much cash back, obviously :o

From what I've read here everyone who's applied for the cash back card gets either a £250 or £500 limit, no more. Not yet, anyway...
    Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
