No birthday card.
No e-card.
No present.
Nowt, nada, sweet fa.
I waited for the postman and all he delivered was junk mail. I remarked that there was nothing else. No comment.
We were awakened this morning to the landline and my mobile going off. Messages from my daughter. My son left his b/card with me when he visited last week. He lives abroad and his gift to me is flights to go and visit him. I told the git I live with this.
The git knows I place a lot of importance on having my birthday recognised. Even a funny e-card that made me laugh would have sufficed. But no!
I wanted to wring his neck.
Instead I threw a short strop and behaved like he does when he's in a mood. Banging cup on the worktop ...

Daughter phones to tell me she will give me spending money for my trip to see her brother.
The git tries to apologise, I ignore him.
Phew that feels better:beer::beer::beer:
Oh and lovely (gay) neighbour asked me to go out and play in the garden.
Birthday or not, watching him working in the garden is always a treat!:A
