We have a DC24. Brilliant for dog hairs on normal carpets - rubbish at picking up biscuit crumbs from a flat surface. Tools supplied practically useless, extension tube awkward and cumbersome.

Mrs d39 uses it and thinks it's great because she bought it - I've kept the old Miele cylinder vac and use that when she goes out !

Since the Dyson has a 5 year warranty, why didn't you just call them up and they would have fixed it on site?
Did you clean the filters reguarly?

2 brand new dysons in 6 months
1 henry in 20 years and was still going strong

That is why we wanted to turn our backs on dyson and get a vacuum cleaner that will last;couldnt care less if the dyson had 20 year warranty
I also rang dyson and they said they would come out to pick it up in a week or so (hmmm not vacuum for well over a week ...no thank you)
Also told me to put the phone to the dyson and switch it on so she could listen to it;i shouted at it but didnt want to talk to me so why would it her:D

I cant believe how quiet henry is compared to the dyson and even has a high power button on now;the noise from the dyson was like being on an airport runway on take off
