centrino is the processor that runs your laptop - rather than the pentium you would normally find in desktops. as art do what needsto be done and hence improve battery time.
however this doesn' thelp your quest for an ISP
much as I hat to do so, I'm going to have to suggest you look at AOL. as a multinational ISP, I imagine they will have local access numbers in most countries. I've never used them myself so I may be completely wrong.NBT : Notoriously Bad Typist0 -
The Centrino processor has an inbuilt WiFi capability which means that you can connect wirelessly to the Internet via the growing number of HotSpots around the world.
Check this site or search for hotspots in the country you're visiting.

@Doublespresso
There is no inbuilt wifi in the processor, a common misconception. See

The capability of the mobile versions of the Intel M processors puts to shame the power hungry P4 in terms of performance per MHz.

Just to clarify Centrino is a technology and not a processor. It's the combination of the Pentium-M processor and wi-fi technology and perhaps something else which I can't remeber.0

This is from the article pointed to by your link...
The Centrino mobile technology label encompasses three enabling technologies for Intel's mobile computing push: An Intel Pentium M microprocessor, the Intel 855 family chipset, and an Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network adapter. Systems equipped with these technologies should deliver better performance, longer battery life, and broad wireless network interoperability in a thinner, lighter package than previous generations of mobile systems. Intel has designed the Centrino components specifically to deliver on these claims.
Perhaps "inbuilt" is the wrong word, but I meant that the laptop would have WiFi capability.0 -
