Buyer Return Fraud

As you refused the item can you now prove the difference in weight?0

The case was found in the buyers favour and has been closed. The buyer has my item, my money and has left a nice negative stating that they had to get Ebay to refund - even though I offered first a partial refund and a full refund upon return of the item. Just waiting on the appeal. The rubbish thing is that the item was only £25 plus postage.0

You can get that feedback removed - it is forbidden to mention cases/disputes in feedback.0 -
Credit where credit's due. My experience with Ebay support has been a possitive one. My appeal was successful and they have reversed the outcome of the case.
Ebay sent me a message before I had opened the appeal "[FONT=Arial, Verdana]don't worry after this case has been close, I strongly suggest that you appeal with this decision so that we can fully investigate and provide us information to help us in further investigating the case and this will be reviewed within 48 hours."
I filled out the appeal form and they came to their decision without me having to provide further information or proof.
I'm not sure if it made a difference but I also filled out a Ebay Buyer Protection Abuse form while the case was still open.
As a bonus I also asked for the Feedback to be removed on the grounds that it referred to a case (thanks Flickering Ember) and the comment has been removed.

I'm sorry to ask... and I may be being REEEALLLLY dense here (it's been a long week!) but if the bottles were empty, why would the use by date matter to the buyer? Am I missing something?
Anyway, I'm sorry that eBay found in the buyer's favour. Poor show

For some reason the manufacturer decided that the empty plastic bottles which are only filled with water should have use by dates. If you were cynical you could argue that it was to sell more bottles.0

May I have the buyer's user ID please? I'd like to block them.0

By identifying the buyer the OP will also identify themselves, and on a large open forum like this that is a very bad idea.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks for that, though I still don't get why the buyer would care if they were going to re-fill them with their own stuff anyway... e.g. I buy half a dozen EMPTY bottles from you, so that I can fill them with water/drink/soap/whatever, I wouldn't care about the printed use-by date as I'd know that the contents were my own & had it's own use-by date.
Unless of course they were intending to re-fill & re-sell the bottles.. ahh of course... or give them as gifts? Maybe that's why, I suppose. But if not, that's a really silly reason to return them :huh:0
