  • Morning all........Just
Not much going on at Cassa butterfly so I haven't been posting much, but I do try to read every day. I had another tumble in the garden yesterday and DH has gone ape. He has told me that he is coming in to the doctor with me tomorrow and telling her what is going on because he thinks that I don't tell her everything (I don't but that is neither here nor there )
Redruby I hope you get the ear sorted, it is very uncomfortable flying with an ear infection.

Belated Birthday wishes marie, sorry I missed it. x x

Dinner is cold pork (chicken for me) left over from yesterday with salad and new potatoes.

(((((Hugs))))) to all in need x x

    Good afternoon (just.)

Lovely day here too. Festival goers are dragging their dilapidated selves on to the ferries and going home. All the traffic will be gridlocked again as 55,000 people try to get off this little island. Perhaps you saw the pictures on TV on Friday, well now we do the whole thing again in reverse.

After my indolent mood last week I have mended my ways and this weekend was a hive of activity, cleaning, tidying and cooking up a storm. Today I should be starting the church magazine but it's such a nice day that I thought I might do a bit of hand-wringing and gnashing-of-the-teeth in the garden. Actually I typed 'vice' day. I should be so lucky!
Eating up leftovers today - cold meat, salad and sauteed potatoes, with some LO apple crumble and ice cream.

RR: I hope you get the earache sorted, it sounds horrible.

sistercas: I envy you going to Billy Elliot. I am hoping to go before too long.

tru: When mine were teenagers I used to count up the trainers at the foot of the stairs to see how many I was cooking for. One day there were 13, never did discover who the half a boy was.

FB: I know that you don't do it for the gratitude but it's so nice when your efforts are recognised and appreciated. You deserve the thanks.

Ally: That is rotten. You should be able to enjoy your own home and garden. I bet the police would act if you were to (accidently) spray the little varmints with your hose pipe while they were congregating outside.
Dust? My ex once wrote !!!!!! on the TV.

Just off to make a quick sandwich for lunch then out into the garden.

    ps.

I am in tears (good ones), I have just received an email from a mother of one of my ex-work kids. This one was one of my favourites, he was a fab kid but was suffering from crippling depression and low confidence. He did so well on our course last year, got a job as a result of his work experience, went on to college as a result of discovering he wanted to do my job (!) and has been working as an ambassador for our charity for past year. His mum has said that without my help and support she does not know what would have happened to him, and she is so glad of all the help I gave him. It's a really long email that she must have taken so much time over compiling. I have done this job for 3.5 years now and very rarely do any parents even say thanks, let alone go through this effort. It has really touched me. :)

Well done FB, forward it to your boss, then print it off and save it for your next appraisal ;)

The !!!! has hit the fan big time at work, all sorts of grief going on.
I sent 2 emails about my problems with the interruptions at work & received an earbashing who told me 'It's your job to be interrupted as my department needs flexibility' Hmm, methinks someone will be waiting a long time for their copying this week!

ally - if the Police are not interested approach the local council - they should have an environmental team/antisocial behaviour team - they should be able to assist - if they don't, persist with the Police or ask the council for your local councillors/MP's name/address and approach them. That kind of behaviour is not acceptable and the authorities do have powers to get it sorted.

FB- wow, what a lovely reward for all your hard work - you should feel really proud (I'm not being condescending). You've obviously really made a difference to this young man's life x

Sun shining here still - been out to the greenhouse and watered - have 2 tiny green tomatoes - we have a long way to go yet!

    Evening all,

Nice day here, although forecast was rain, just did one machine load of washing, including 12 table napkins which I found in the hotpress...they had lots of stains on them so have hung them out over night in the hope that some of them will come out...if not boil wash I think.

We had lamb burgers, wedges and the first of our courgettes for dinner...love them when they are tiny. Had a bowl of stewed gooseberries with yoghurt as pudding, really need to get the rest of the gooseberries picked and bottled or frozen in DD4's freezer, same for rhubarb.

Ruby...that ear-ache is hanging on too long, time you got it sorted.

Would love a camper van, but OH would not, so think it won't happen.

Back to hospital this morning and OH's blood levels are fine again....would like to know what caused spiral, probably never know.

Nmlc...have 1 green tomato, not good year this year for garden, looks as if apple harvest will be meagre.

Have had several tries at my notepad thingy, not very successfully, will try DIL2 to-morrow night if no luck myself....would like to conquer the d*** thing myself.

Bought large saute pan with lid in Lidl to-day....throwing out one I have had for more than 25 years, not sure what its made of but cannot get it properly clean any more, so in the bin it goes.

Flutterby....appreciation is nice isn't it....am sure that it was well deserved in your case, you come across as loving your job and working very hard at it.

Ally....how awful to have the problem with youths...think that there has to be some remedy available, very upsetting though.

OH called me out this afternoon to help him put up gazebo....frame ok but he can't find the roof or covering or whatever its called, will have to go looking myself to-morrow as we only have 3 sheds and it could be in any of them....men!

Sybil....what a nice thing to say....you haven't seen me though!

Hugs to all in need or want, sleep well and stay safe.

If I had done that my ex would have expected me to dust the blankety TV with the clothes. Not an incurable romantic. That's why he's my ex.;)
