New Phone but want to end current contract for a new contract and better phone

Options
Hi
I recently upgraded my phone (March 2012) to the new samsung 2, I have had to claim on my phone insurance for a new one as i dropped the current one down the toilet. i am waiting to hear back from my insurance company weather i can actually get a new one but am forward thinking. so basically i have an 18 month contract with 15months left, i want to end this contract so i can start a new contract and get the samsung 3, i was wondering if vodafone would take the brand new samsung 2 in exc hange for ending my contract or even part exchange and i would only have to pay a small amount for the rest of the contract. i still want to be their customer but want the better phone.
Has anyone had a situation like this and what was the outcome, and answers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

No, Vodafone won't take a new phone in exchange for ending the contract.

not a chance - providers won't even consider letting you out of a contract til at least 2 or 3 months before the end, if at all.

    You are joking, aren't you?
Sell the phone and pay the Early Termination Charge that will be
    15*(monthly price)*5/6

Or add money and by S3 sim-free.

Actually, you won't get a new phone in replacement - as the replacement invariably is a 'white box' refurb, minus the accessories and charger.
