9 months counts as new doesn't it??? :D

Yeah course it does :D Do you think my youngest being 10 is stretching it or not ;)

Mainly been reading Governors stuff this morning and have just been sent loads more by the Head. I'll do another 20 minutes and then mop the floors.

I've got a GP appointment later which is close to a very nice nursery so I'll need to allow time to go their first :p

  • Hi everyone, ive been AWOL for a while, hope everyone is ok, hugs and best wishes to anyone needing them. Well, place a bit of a tip, dived out of bed at 8am in a panic, thinking water meter engineer was coming between 8.30 and 1.30, so blitzed the place up 'till 11, then checked my diary, doh, its tomorrow, well place now tidy, so will start lists, kitchen clean and tidy, but will get steamer out and do downstairs floors and then do the rest on the lists. Have a nice day everyone. Beautiful sunshine in London.

Hope everyone is well. Had some drama this morning so haven't done anything yet. Dog decided to hop everywhere yesterday, not putting any weight on front right foot. Took him vets this morning, and guess what? Not a limp in sight. Vet says there's nothing wrong that he can see. Still decided to give him pills though. £36 for 5 little painkillers!

    Good morning everyone.

Well, wasted (?) most of today so far on the 7 Day Fiscal Fast thread so needed to get off my bottom and onto the list - managed to do this lot in about an hour which I'm quite pleased about as a proper clean hasn't been done for a while.

Tuesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs
    Level One

    Hoover/wipe the sofas
    Level Two
    Dust the electricals
    Hoover the floor
    Level Three
    HH tidying, decluttering, sorting
    Clear and clean windowsills
    Extras
    Clear a hotspot
    Wipe and water plants

Also managed to sort out all the shoes in the hallway (unearthing the scariest spider I've ever seen!) and chuck about 4 years worth of phone books/yellow pages (can these be recycled?). Feeling quite happy!

our area recycle them, it says on the brown plastic bag we put paper and card in "telephone directories" schools used to take them but now they just go in with general recycling

you could ring your council and check before putting them out

Thanks pigpen and moneypenny - will check x

Edit - glad I checked, just found out we get a new bin on Thursday for all our plastics, papers (including directories) and loads more - really pleased as we used to have to put our plastics in the Tesco bins which really cluttered up the kitchen. No idea where we'll keep the bin though!

She probably won't believe you but she will feel better if she does something practical. Is she finishing school for good or just for the summer?

She starts college in September. Her last exam is tomorrow.

I went to WW this morning then DD1 and I went to some job convention thing so she could look at part time work etc
She having problems with her boyfriend at the moment  and has spent the last half hour crying. She's now gone to meet a friend from school.

The weather is lovely here today :D so I'm going to try and get all the bedding washed, haven't done much else :o

DD2's home with her school report (better than expected :) )
