Kitchen Worktops Curved Breakfast Bar in Laminate

Trying to find a supplier that sells laminate breakfast bars which have a curved end. Must be 900mm wide and have matching upstands and normal worktops. Normal worktops must come in 400 lengths.
Not having much luck as everywhere I look says to cut the laminate to shape and use matching edging tape.
Any ideas please???

Your chances aren't great.
Even worktops made out of other materials e.g. granite, quartz and wood have to be cut to shape from length with a straight edge at its end.0 -
I heard that Axiom shapes do it but they come in 800 widths, I need 900. Just wondered if anybody new another supplier0

Hi Woody
Most German kitchen manufacturers do laminate worktops and what you are asking is really no problem with a continuous thick PP edge, looks much nicer than the normal post formed rounded front edge.

Like CKDesigner says, with German suppliers its not a problem. Worktop can be up to 1200mm wide with curved cutting and edged in matching PP edge (or about a dozen other alternatives) and available to lengths that match your requirements. We’ve had to remove your signature. Try Duropal work tops.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

No it doesnt have to be German. Of the worktops supplied by IDS, AFAIK only Duropal is available with specification that matches OP's requirements.
Where is Duropal made? Germany. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
but maybe it should have said its not a problem if it has a PP edge. This forum is a money saving forum, Not an advert for German Kitchens. Personally I think it gets a bit much0

What is a PP edge???0

it stands for polypropylene edge. You can also get ABS and PVC edged worktops as well as standard laminate ones.
In other words the worktops with square edge are best for curves as you can remove the front edge and replace it meaning there will be no join either side of the curve0 -
As we're talking supplier and not manufacturer
IDS is part of the Saint-Gobain group, which are French.
We recommended German worktop manufacturers to easily meet the requirements set by the OP.
You also moaned that it didnt have to be German manufacturers and recommended IDS. Of the worktop brands supplied by IDS that would meet OP's requirement, Duropal is the only one AFAIK that does the job and Duropal is German. I was merely pointing out that fact. It was what CKDesigner and I mentioned in the first instance. We’ve had to remove your signature.
