Asda parking fine

IGNORE as others have said.
If you feel like paying, remember that anyone can send you a 'bill': if you park anywhere in my street I'll do you an official looking bill on my home printer if you're keen to give money away.
Only a railway company or council can issue enforceable bills : these are known as 'PENALTY charge notices' if they state anything else read them as 'Mickey mouse invitations' and treat them accordingly.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
DO go into Asda - take a friend or two.
Each get the biggest trolleys they have and fill them with lots of small items - frozen is good.
When full to overflowing take them to customer services and abandon them saying you can't stay or you'll get a parking ticket. State you'll just have to go to (xxxx - local non PPC infested supermarket) and shop there.
Repeat on a weekly basis.0 -
trisontana wrote: »This happened to me when I complained to ASDA about TCPs signage in the their Retford and Grantham Stores. They initially told me that the car-parks were owned by the council, but after two more emails to them they finally admitted they that the car parks were theirs.
This is their first email:-
I'm sorry you are unhappy with the signs at both our stores and you have reported this to the British Parking Association.
I have been in contact with our Facilities Team here at ASDA House. I have put your comments forward to them. The Town and City Parking Ltd are under the council who are in control of the signs in our car parks. I would advise you to contact your local council regarding your query for further comments on this.
The second:-
I'm sorry but these car parks belong to Town and City parking and are under the Council. We do not own the car parks. You will need to contact the Council for further assistance.
And their third after I had confirmed with both councils that the car-parks had nothing to do with them:-
Thanks for your response to my colleague.
I'm sorry there seems to have been some confusion here,.
We do own our car parks of course, however they are monitored by the company Town and City Parking, so if you have any queries with a fine you have you would need to take it up with them.
As you see, complete numpties when even their "facilities team" don't know the true position.
I would keep on goin just to see what happens, something like As you own the car parks, and town and City parking are your agents you are responsable for their actions, further more neither yoursleves or Town and city parking have the legal authority to issue fines, and as Town and City parking do not own the car parks they have no authroity to issue anything at all, as you are liable and responsable for the actions of your agents you are putting yoursleves at considerable risk of a harrasment case ( under the protection from harrasment act) should any of your customers who receive threatening letters as a direct result of your agents actions, furhter more your signage in the car parks is in breach of the equalities act, and the unfair terms in consumer contracts act, may i suggest that you remove this company from your car park imediatly to prevent any problems with the equalities act/protection from harrasment act, and the unfair terms in consumer contracts act, as well as the risk of bad publicity. From the Plain Language Commission:
