one hour 7 minutes. I'm now worrying that if the phone call is really long, what if I need the loo part way through??!!!

I've got a streaming cold too so will cough and blow my nose sporadically :/

    Hi

Just take a few deep breaths, make a cuppa, the waiting is rough but just thinkin a few more hours it will all be over! If you need a break during the call you can just state you need a break. You will be okay just answer what they ask you honestly- you cant do more than that.

Once call is over the relief is great and you can ten start your journey to a fresh start. I was in a right state before my OR call and many others have been the same. On reflection was not as bad as I thought it would be. When you are anxious and all the stress leading to BR your thoughts can be all over te place.

Soon be over, good luck yu nearly there.

I'm very stressed. The bloke was nice enough but the constant questions as to what happened then, why did I use that credit card/loan what for etc. plus I am to give them my £5 premium bond. It was bought me by my grandfather when I was born and so it is purely sentimental value, but the £5 has to go.

Plus, they may well take my car. My only hope is finding significant medical evidence within the next couple of days demonstrating why I cannot manage without it. I have a spinal deformity and can't carry things, I can't travel on buses due to its movement, and with my mental health difficulties would be completely isolated if I lost the car but they don't take mental health difficulties into account, or the fact you can't use buses and would be isolated it is all down to the spinal difficulties but it doesn't sound like I will be able to keep the car from what he said. It's only worth £850 on paper, in reality far less and I said I would need a car to work and hope to be well enough to work at some stage soon but as I am not in work atm that isn't taken into account either. I am so stressed. And the paperwork I sent them Monday last week first class hasn't arrived there so he will probably need to phone again when it does to go through a few things so I need to stress about another phone interview too. I'm so worried about the car.

Do you think I could photocopy the premium bond certificate and give them £5 instead and keep the bonds?

Oh dear about your car :(

All the info on here says up to £1000 and you're safe...it seems that's quite misleading and it gives you hope when maybe there isn't any.

No, what we say is if the vehicle is deemed essential for work and the OR exempts it then the value that is usually excepted is £1k. Anything else you will have to prove that it is essential for your use.

Pippa, go to your Dr and any other health care professional that you see about your problem, including mental health professionals and ask them to provide a letter for the OR to say that you really do need use of the car. The more back up you can get the better.
