A mileage mystery! Any theories?

Cars do sometimes sit on forecourts for ages before they are sold, although often not for more than a few months rather than 11 months.0

Easiest way to check is to look at the brake pedal - after 13k it still should be almost new. If it has noticeable wear there is a good chance it has been clocked - it would be trivially easy for a VX dealer to "correct" the mileage.
What was the mileage when it was MOTed?0 -
Ive known this - I bought a vectra from a dealer - that was exactly a year old and yet had only done 52 miles...had been sat in a compound pre registered and never sold....0

Has it actualy been for sale during this time.
Might have sitting because it is has had a repair job done on it.
any signes it might have been sitting somewhere gathering moss not getting a regular forcourt clean. check gutters and slighly hidden areas where leaves/moss grunge etc gather if not moved/cleaned0 -
I'd be asking the garage - their reaction will confirm yous suspicions as no main dealer can afford to be implicated in any sort of 'clocking' scheme.
My bet is on an administrative error.0
