Landline number for Mobile Phones

Options
Hi Guys

I have been with T-Mobile for 10 years on contract and have negotiated a very good monthly rate but I moved out of my house some months ago and no longer have a landline. Does anyone know if I can get a landline number for my mobile as I have customers that call me and I don't want them to be put off by a mobile number. Any factual information you can provide or advice would be appreciated.

Orange's Pocket Landline could be just what you need. Your customers will pay to call a geographic 01/02 number and you will fund the shortfall between this and the cost of them calling your mobile number. However, rather than paying for every incoming call, you will pay a flat fee of £10 per month.

When Orange launched this service in 1994, they also charged for incoming calls, but they seem to have abolished this charge after mobile termination rates plummeted.

Is this really better than flextel's 4p/min (if my understanding is correct how flextel works)?

I suppose that depends on how many minutes of calls the OP expects to receive per month. If it's more than 250 minutes (10÷0.04), Orange's option could be better.

To get Orange Pocket Landline you have to be a Orange Biz Customer. Where as Flextel can be used by anybody on any network.

    Flextel charge for a number.

These peeps only charge 4p a minute to divert to a mobi, and they will supply service/number free as long as its used regularly.

and there is always www.sipgate.co.uk but they charge a tad more to divert UK Mobile.
  • Thanks that's useful.
