I think if they want the extra two days in nursery then they should be paying for it themselves as tax credits is to help you when working.
If her children are under 5 and she is having problems she could get in touch with her local sure start as they have funding for some childcare places. My friend is bipolar and her daughter has a certain no. of hours at the nursery though sure start0 -
The maximum that they will pay is 300 less 20%, so thats £240 a week.0
