Erm, thanks, but the OP is defending a court claim, not ignoring a PPC ticket.

  • I have received what looks like genuine CC papers from hospital car park solicitors, where do I go from here?

My recommendation would be to drop AlexisV a PM, and/or register on www.pepipoo.com and post about this in the Private Tickets forum.

At the very least you should acknowledge the claim, and state that you will be defending in full, and you need the extra time to prepare a defence.

    Aintree per chance?

I would send a message to AlexisV on here or get over to pepipoo and register on there, post up the claim details minus anything that identifies you etc

You can also send a message to Alexis on there(notice slight difference in username)

She really is an expert in car parking cases

What you have however need to do first is to do an acknowledge of service so it gives you 28 days to arrange a defence, you should be able to do online assuming its a MCOL

Has he had the operation then?

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
  • Just thought I'd update you all. The MCOL Acknowledgement of Service has been lodged which provides more time to refine the defence which is already well under way. Alexis on Pepipoo was superb providing a library of information which has taken me an age to read and digest but I now feel far more confident. If Haswell reads this, and I really hope he does, I'd cancel all your MCOLs now - you've got a hell of a fight coming!
