My bankruptcy order is still on my credit file and I have two credit cards, Nationwide with £3,200 limit and 15.9% APR, and Creation, with £3,000 limit and 17.9% APR.

I also have a mortgage at 2.9% APR

If you rebuild impeccable credit history from day one a discharged bankruptcy order needn't cause problems.

I done the nationwide credit card soft quote yesterday and it was £5600 15.9% which I was quite surprised it wasn't more TBH as I only have £300 debt on my barclaycard which has a £5400 limit.

Don't want it though as this is the happiest I've been for ages knowing that I haven't got a big balance on my credit card especially as this time last year I was near my BC limit.

    Hi Izools

Can I ask how you went about getting your mortgage? My landlord has called today saying that he has to sell the house I'm living in and has offered me first refusal on purchasing it -However I went bankrupt in Sept 09.I've since paid everything on time and even managed to get 2 catalogue accounts - which I buy something small from every month and then pay back in full - who have both considerably raised my credit limit. I have always intended to get back on the property ladder at some point (as my previous house was repossessed) however never thought it possible - is this something that I need to wait a long time before I enquire? I don't want it hurting my credit by having several searches conducted without fruition - Please help!!!
