Would be glad of any advice. I have an unlocked Mifi and am looking to use it for 3 weeks in Los Christianos in Tenerife. I have bought a Digimobil and a hits mobile sim card off an ebay sellar in Valaencia but have heard bad reports. I know that Carrefour does a broadband sim but not close to one of there stores.
Can I purchase a sim with say 3 or 5 gb allowance in the resort?
Thanks
Martin

Thanks for the info. Have heard at times difficult to get these sims activated. Do you know of any sims with bigger allowance? My Mifi has been unlocked by 3 so that should not be a problem.0

I had a Carrefour SIM when in Majorca. It is most of 10 years since I went to Los Christianos but there were no Hypermarket size supermarkets there then and it is a long way to the other end of the island to buy a SIM.
I suggest taking a Vodafone UK PAYG SIM as an emergency measure. This gives 25MB a day for £2 and you can get the APN settings right before you go.
There are a couple of things to know about Spanish SIMs
1) It seems typical to require 3 Euros a month spend on a SIM. So your holiday SIM will probably be dead when you return.
2) The SIM I got had a PIN set. Fortunately I had an unlocked phone to take the PIN off before I put in my "MiFi" type device.
Also make sure you have a list of all APN and other settings with you on paper to refer to. It is extremely irritating to have to find some WiFi to find the settings to get the mobile broadband going.
Have a great time, I really enjoyed Los Christianos. Sadly we now have to travel in school holidays and the flights are too expensive.0
