Cheaper reliable broadband

At present we have Sky unlimited broadband at £15 a month and a standard Bt phone service with line rental at £14.60 a month plus calls. Broadband with Sky has been Ok,no real problems but it seems a bit expensive from what i see, Phone is rarely used during the day, we get free weekend calls only. There seem to be quite a few offers around, but i worry about moving from BT, as i have have heard line repairs take much longer with a different supplier. Talk Talk seem to have a really cheap deal, do they still have customer service problems,i remeber they had a shocking name at one time. What i want is a cheaper if possible reliable unlimited internet and phone package, at present we pay out approx £38 a month including calls. Any views or advice on who is best to go with....Thanks

Even if you went with another provider all repairs would be carried out by BT Openreach anyway.0

Sky Broadband Unlimited only costs £10 / month (for non Sky subscribers) if you take your line rental from Sky as well.
As above its BT Openreach who sort out line/exchange faults whoever you pay for your line rental/broadband
Pay you line rental to Sky 12 months in advance and you'll save more. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

The publicity I've seen about Talk Talk is all bad and my own experiences (slight as they are) support that. I'm with Plusnet Fibre Optic. Free calls, 32mbs line speed and all for £32 a month.0

Well we have been with TT for several years and never had any real problems. When I complained about the broadband slowing down in the evenings an engineer came round and sorted it out. We now get 6-8 Mbs our neighbor is with Sky and they get about 5 Mbs.0

We only use Sky broadband and dont have or need sky TV, did check with them and its only £10 if we have Sky TV,plus they charge for 0845 and 0870 numbers , at the moment its a toss up between Plus Net and Talk Talk, need to find out more on there reliability now, i'm happy with moving the phone line now.
Actually its £7.50 if you are a Sky subscriber and also take sky talk and line rental. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
