The amount of threads that are people genuinely worried about these PPC's, I just thought I'd it would be easier if they could refer to one thread rather than trawling through hundreds, as I have been doing :)
All very well, but these people are unlikely to find this particular thread amongst all the others. And, regrettably, it would seem that many new posters don't even do the most basic research, e.g. looking at the sticky threads, or reading even half a dozen existing threads. They just post in their panic, and ask questions that have been answered hundreds of times already.

A shame, but that's the nature of it. Not everyone is as adept at using search engines and navigating forums as some others. So we live with it, and continue to answer the newbies as best we can, politely referring them to the sources of information.

The reason I'm asking is to simplify a lot of threads in this section.

I'm usually fairly astute as to where I park, living in London. Down here you take it as the norm that you have to watch where you park.

We already have a permanent sticky thread that tells newbies everything they need to know with the Watchdog clip and pics of the letter-chains.

Newbies miss it almost every time! :rotfl:

If the landowner has requested a small payment in exchange for parking, such as £1 per hour then nobody on this forum is saying to avoid paying that amount as you do owe it.

What the forum is trying to say is to ignore the demands from 3rd partys wanting £60+ if you break one of the numerous rules they have made up
