    my husbands visa restricts him access to any kind of public funds any cliam of tax credits housing benefit or jobseekers etc from either of us would voilate his term s of stay!

    don't want to get anyone into trouble here but they never took me to court in 7 year's, and also they cannot turn off your water if you have any children under the age of 5 year's old, also most water board's have a scheme for hardship families which reducies the amount you pay, check out your local water boards website and apply for hardship,

    Are you a british citizen or "settled in the UK" How long have you been married ??? If you have been married for 2 years I believe that your husband can apply for "settlement" himself. If he gets this then you would not be tied to the Visa restrictions and could claim tax credits etc.
    I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

    If you have internet at home how can you aford this but not your water bill ??

  • i actually dont have internet at home! i am saying i cant afford the amount they are asking for not that i cant afford it at all
