Hello,
Sorry if this has been covered anywhere,
I have an iphone 4s with o2 pronet originally taken out in 2008, the initial contract was for 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and internet. in november 2011 they upgraded my phone to a 4s, however i received a text the other day saying i had exceeded my data allowance for the month, i rang them and they said that the upgrade meant a new 24 month contract and they no longer did unlimited data packages, and i now only have 500mb for the same price is was paying before. surely this cannot be right and can i cancel under any grounds? any advice would be very good thanks

Any reasonable person would have requested the new contract terms in writing or by a e-mail. If you don't have it, the only way to prove that you were missold is to get a record or a transcript of the phone call (if it was done over a phone).0 -
I am not with O2, but does your monthly bill not show you what allowances you have? If it does, after six months it will be very difficult to argue that you have not accepted them as part of your contract.0

They rang me up and said would I like the new phone and I said yes0

I've a feeling the conversation was longer than that. Complain, ask for a recording - you've obviously been moved off the ul data. Do you know what your price plan includes? How does it show on the online billing system?0
