On another note, Opus are purely business supplies aren't they? If so, I'm betting they will want to charge you business rates. Don't accept this. There is an Ofgem Standard Licence Condition (SLC) that states they have to offer you a domestic contract.

Let me know if you need to have a read of it and I'll post the links and SLC numbers for you.

Opus also use MPID X - CRNG and ENRG ( i think ), one is a residiential supplier.

So they could use the change of supply process to switch you to the residential portfolio and provide a one off bill set to Deemed domestic rates on the old Id.

Just like Npower with their MIDE/YELG/NEEB resi to bus on NATP/INDE/INDX.

Indeed. Npower seemed to get it spot on with their change of MPID didn't cause us a single problem. Although they have caused us problems before :rotfl:

Yeah, its more the investigation prior to the switch...and registering domestics to a business MPID and having to reverse it!
