Hi all
Love this thread.
Thanks to the Grabbit boards I have managed to get the kids a few presents already and know everything DD wants so can get those in advance.
Need to keep an eye out for boose though for gifts and in house.
Need to work on keeping the cost of the other gifts down too as there's only 4 pays for me before the big day. Oh heck!
Love the chutney ideas.
Who knows what snowman soup is and how do I make it please? Thank you guys.Debt - CCV £3792

There's a glitch on grabbits for wine in Te5co if that's any help, and snowman soup is a little homemade cone or packet of drinking choc ideal for little gifts or selling on a Xmas stall if u do a search on here it will come up or should be in the first post index xSW loss 7st 4lb

Snowman soup is hot chocolate with marshmallows etc.
You need some cello cone bags - I use 2 for each and put enough hot choc for 2 cups in one bag and sealed it, then put it in to the bottom of the other bag. Then add a layer of choc chips, then a layer of white mini marshmallows, and twist round the top of the cello bag and seal it. I stuck a candy cane on the front and tied tinsel round the top. There are labels with a snowman soup poem I laminated, will see if I can find it.
ETA: Can't immediately lay my hands on it but there are various poems in a snowman soup thread here:

Thanks.
I think I did use cider vinegar because I found some really cheap (sorry this was in January so can't remember where), but I bet any other vinegar would be OK. I was also buying the vinegar bottles with a view to re-using them for flavoured vodkas for my hampers so that affected my choice too.0 -
Absolutely fantastic! Love the idea.
