Stopped at a stall this evening and bought some bargain punnets of goosegogs, strawberries and rhubarb so that's jam sorted for hampers, to add to the 4 jars of goosegog I made a few weeks ago. I already have xmas chutney and caramelised onion relish so once I've made a couple of marmalades that will be it with the jars.
Possession - do you have a link/recipie for the xmas chutney and onion relish?? thinking this might be a nice idea for one of my friends for xmas. I take it the earlier you make it the better??

    Thanks!

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Hello, does anyone mind if i join in please?
    I have already bought:

    Wrapping paper (bought in Jan)
Cards (had loads left over from last xmas)
Gift tags (made from xmas cards)
    Cupcake boxes (from £land)
    Cellophane (from Lidl)
    Small cellophane bags (from £land)
    Decorations (bought in Jan)

2x DSi accessory kits (1 each for my kids, reduced from argos)
1x Cath Kidston mug (to go in my younger sisters hamper)
1x 9ct Rose gold necklance and earring set (for my niece, reduced from £45 down to £14)- my biggest bargain!!

I have also saved up £70 morrisons savers stamps for the xmas food.
I am planning on having xmas all ready for by the end of September.

Need ideas for my mum, older sister and BIL.
Last year i did my mum a gardening hamper that went down a storm, and a USA themed hamper for my younger sister, she LOVED it!

This thread is brilliant, have just read through it all and it's inspired me in a way to be more simple.

I always buy my Christmas cards and wrap in the sale but usually present are just whatever the latest kid trend is for the neices and nephews.

This year however I wanted to put together a little craft box for my eldest neice (she's 6) and really into crafting etc. However I have no idea where to start!! I am the least artistic person you will meet I can't draw a straight line with a ruler so any ideas greatfully received!

I'd like a nice box too that she could decorate etc to keep the bits tidy. My sil's house tends to look like an explosion in a toy shop.
Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising
