good find. I've never come across fish that cheap.

I got 5 packs in case it was a price error, so they are almost certain to taste disgusting now!;)
Have checked and they are cod but not fillet, minced.

Popperwell I have a huge chest freezer (I could put DH in it easily :rotfl:) But I do feed 4 adults, 5 if you count DD's BF who is here quite regularly. So I do need one and it is actually cheaper to run than my fridge freezer especially when it is kept full.

If I had one and it was full, my electric might cost a little more but I'd be saving on the taxi fares...the new Ali I have been told could be trading as early as September...:T

more % of fish in them (just) than the everyday value fish fingers so can't be too bad. ;)

Ditto!!:D Am having to have a sit down now and I've only put half of it away. Phew! My freezers are bursting and I'm very glad I cleared out the garage this morning. Trying out lots of everday value stuff too so will see if we change to that version.
    And I found that these:

are only 69p. Is this their usual price does anyone know? Seems ever so cheap.

From the amount of time I spend in there(just for a break from being indoors)I can say yes!;)

I managed to get eight tins of New Potatoes today...so I cleared the shelf and they cost £1.52 and are ok until 2015.:)

Most items in the new Everyday range match very well with the more expensive items if you actually stand there with both products in your hand reading the nutritional information.

Thanks Pops. My children love battered cod and it's the ONLY fish they will willingly eat so hopefully they will like them.

I used to keep what I thought was a large store cupboard of just about everything (think 2 fridges, large chest freezer and pantry. Oh and a small chest freezer). Plus cupboards teaming with everything imaginable.

In November last year I separated and the kids and I moved into a small 2 bed rented house while the marital home sold. I now have a small kitchen, a chest freezer (small) and an undercounted fridge. But now I actually have a store cupboard. I have to be much more organised, rotate things and really think about what I buy to store. Before, things got wasted, went out of date because I never really knew what I had.

I do have a cellar though and store toilet rolls, washing powder and cleaning products down there. So, although food is sorted I can still supply loo rolls to the entire street should there ever be a shortage :D

Possession, I think it is as close to cod as can be...I know they do cod in some kind of sauce(is that parsley sauce)

Look what I have found...it seems Tesco's have put some recipes together using the everyday range...

Very interesting thankyou Pops, going to have a look at all 50 and see if I can pick up anything new

Hmm. answer: nothing new really but some interesting costings, eg shepherd's pie approx £1 a portion but cottage pie 50p a portion. Guess I won't be buying lamb at all any more.
