I've come across two websites. wewillbuyyourcar.com and webuyyourcar.com (obviously a competitor).

I'm selling my car due to getting a company car and both websites have offered fair and reasonable valuations for my car.

Just posting to see if anyone has had any experience of either of them. I'm happy that they are not scamsters, but just wanted to see if there's any good/bad tales to tell.

Thanks.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

Another competitor is http://www.sellyourjamjar.co.uk which has been spoken about on this site before, a user was successful using them.

Its worth noting that these companies don't guarantee you the price. They reserve the right to give a lower value or not even buy the car at all. No harm in trying but don't get your hopes up too high. By the way, you will be expected to take the car to them for a full inspection.

Trying to sell my car and just had a text from www.webuyanycar.com anyone have any stories fron these guys Thanks
  • I have been a motortrader for the last 25 years and out of interest submitted some vehicles I have in stock to wewillbuyyourcar.com, I found that some of the computer generated prices offered can be up to 50% less than the trade value of some cars! My advice would be try all other means of selling your car first, most car sites and dealers are always looking for good clean stock and then only if you are really desperate try these people.

  • Hi there
If you look at my other posts I also used Bestcarbuyer.co.uk last year, but after been given a quote for a six year old car on-line, I received a e-mail next day to be told that my car was not in their purchasing criteria.

I have heard stories of these kind of companies knocking money off for simple things like old windscreen wipers and missing dust caps etc.......

Suppose though if people are after a quick sale then these companies are a good choice =)

I just got them to quote for my 2007 3 series and offered me £14120, I haven't yet got a trade in value but that doesn't seem too bad as it goes, especially as I would then be able to go straight into a cash deal with a broker and get £5k off the list price of the car I'm looking at!

So even if I traded it in with the dealer directly, the extra £1k in the valuation or so would be wiped out from the fighting them down from the higher starting point in the retail price...

On the face of it, I'd gain more than I'd lose by the looks of it...
