It says "final tax credit decision for 06/04/2011 - 05/04/2012".

Then what you have received is just that, their final decision for the last tax year.

HMRC based your tax credit award for 2011-12 on 'estimated' income figures. When you renewed the award for 2012-13 (after April 6th) you provided them with actual income figures for tax year up to 5th April 2012. HMRC then do a final calc. on the award for the year to 5th April 2012, and send you a Final Decision notice for that previous year.
So you reckon I should be getting another letter soon?
    Yes.

You could always spend an eternity on the phone to them to see what payments you are going to get.

Remember they may make a small/different up-front payment that is separate to your normal payment dates.

Thanks. I will wait for the letter to arrive rather than jumping the gun and phoning they.

I hate phoning them, but I have to do it because DH can never pass the security questions! :rotfl:
