I am thinking of going from VM to plusnet to save money and was wondering would 16mb speed be ok and 10GB for xbox live games and basic internet.
I understand that watching iplayer on a laptop and watching films will eat into my 10GB is that correct?
Also how can I tell what internet usage I am using?
Thanks

Unless you live very close to the exchange you won't be getting 16Mbps.
Get an estimate first. Anything above 4Mbps is fine for the iPlayer.
Steaming video uses around 0.6 Gb per hour. So you would use up your 10Gb allowance in around. 16 hours. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
