I'm looking to change internet provider and have read about BE Broadband. https://www.bethere.co.uk/web/beportal/bebroadband
I'm currently with Virgin Media and would love to change. BE Value is less than what I currently pay, whilst their unlimited is the same. I'm not too sure about the speed though, whether virgin media is better or BE. I am currently on the L package with Virgin Media.

BE is very reliable and their tech support is second to none. Very highly recommended.
Virgin is fast - when it works. LOL0 -
You are proposing to change from cable to ADSL broadband, do you have a BT phone line? That gum you like is coming back in style.0

I realised after I had submitted the post and left the computer that I have no landline so can't connect. Too bad as I don't think I want to pay extra for landline plus there's a £85 connection fee.
Their feedback sounds positive so when I feel I need a landline I will probably have BE as my first choice.Pink is so not my colour :undecided0 -

I have been with O2 (same as Be) for about 5 years now and USED to get great service.
Since the end of last year the quality of the BB service has declined severely and the so-called "tech support" has been truly abysmal.
If you are considering these people I would suggest you check with other users in your area.
I am looking elsewhere now.....................0 -
Whilst O2 and BE are both part of the same company (Telefonica), and O2 use the BE network, they are separate entities and operate separately. (So the comment O2 (same as Be) is incorrect).
I have been with BE since January 2008 and would rate them the best ISP I have ever used.
Granted I can't comment about cable, as I have never lived in a cable area, but anecdotal evidence shows that Virgin cable tends to be either very good or very bad.0 -
I've also been with BE years and think they are great.
No throttling, no limits or downtime.
I really would like the additional speed that BT infinity gives but amloathed to move away from a provider that’s so good.
Not to mention I have a very good negotiated deal from BE.

Me too. I have Unlimited yet pay less than their current Value offer price.0

Simply worth the higher cost for reliability and customer support alone in my opinion .

All well and good but it was established that the OP does not in fact have a BT telephone line. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
