Argos Ebay Outlet Scam??

I bought a casio watch (£29.99) from the Argos outlet last month. As always i paid by paypal and it looked like the money had been transfered to argos. Nothing arrived although argos admitted that it had sent out the goods first class. They now claim that ebay should have sent me a message soon after the transaction telling me there was a problem.

When i rechecked my paypal invoice, it appears i have paid shop maker place even though the seller's ID is argos and the contact details are bouchac1995@london.com. Needless to say this appears to be bogus.

I have lodged a dispute with ebay, but i wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience? Argos appear to think the problem lies with paypal and do not wish to get involved.

Are you sure it was a listing for the real Argos outlet? Can you link to the listing?

You will have to wait but will be able to claim your money back if it doesn't arrive.
But how did they fool you into thinking you were buying from Argos?

30 quid is not 'a few quid'. Definitely worth opening a case op.

The item number is #360455390135. Argos seem to be aware of the transaction. i tried to log a compaint via paypal but it opened up via ebay. its all very strange.

as for writing off 29.99.......to argos......mmm....take hate to the grave....
